Anti-ASIP2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ASIP2 is a known alias name of the protein agouti related neuropeptide, encoded by the AGRP gene in humans. This 132-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in weight homeostasis. It is localized to the Golgi and is secreted of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the adrenal gland, subthalamic nucleus, and hypothalamus, with a lower level of expression occurring in testis, lung, and kidney. Other synonyms for ASIP2 include AGRT, AGRT, and ART. Western Blot is the most common application for the ASIP2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
