ACAD1, or Acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, C-4 to C-12 straight chain, is a human gene encoded by ACADM. It may also be known as: Medium-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial; MCAD; MCADH. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 421 and a mass of 46.6 kDa. ACAD1 is a member of the Acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Zebrafish, Frog.
