Anti-ATP5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ATP5 is a known alias name of the protein ATP synthase peripheral stalk subunit F6, encoded by the ATP5PF gene in humans. This 108-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Eukaryotic ATPase subunit F6 protein family. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term ATP5A is another synonym for ATP5. Some ATP5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
