Anti-adhalin antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The adhalin antigen is another term for the human protein sarcoglycan alpha, encoded by the SGCA gene. The protein is a known component of the sarcoglycan complex, a subcomplex of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex which forms a link between the F-actin cytoskeleton and the extracellular matrix. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 387 residues and a mass of 42.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. The adhalin protein is a member of the Sarcoglycan alpha/epsilon protein family. Other alias names for adhalin include 50DAG, ADL, and DAG2. Indicated applications for adhalin antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunoprecipitation.
