Anti-synaptotagmin 12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SYT12 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 421 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles. The synaptotagmin 12 protein is a member of the Synaptotagmin protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Other names for this target antigen include synaptotagmin-XII.
