Anti-arc-1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The arc-1 antigen is another term for the human protein cadherin 1, encoded by the CDH1 gene. The protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 882 residues and a mass of 97.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cell membrane and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. Other alias names for arc-1 include BCDS1. A number of arc-1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
