Anti-TTV antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TTV is a known alias name of the protein exostosin glycosyltransferase 1, encoded by the EXT1 gene in humans. This 746-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in axon guidance and the Wnt signaling pathway, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER and Golgi of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for TTV include EXT, LGCR, and LGS. Western Blot is the most common application for the TTV antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
