Anti-TIR8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TIR8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SIGIRR gene, which encodes single Ig and TIR domain containing. This protein is known to function in signal transduction pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of TIR8 has a canonical amino acid length of 410 residues and a protein mass of 45.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. TIR8 is a member of the Interleukin-1 receptor protein family.
