Anti-PEK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PEK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EIF2AK3 gene, which encodes eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha kinase 3. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and angiogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of PEK has a canonical amino acid length of 1116 residues and a protein mass of 125.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include PERK and WRS. Western Blot is the most common application for the PEK antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
