Anti-SPS1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SPS1 is a known alias name of the protein spermidine synthase, encoded by the SRM gene in humans. This 302-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the production of spermidine from putrescine and decarboxylated S-adenosylmethionine (dcSAM). It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
