Anti-MTCYB antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MTCYB is a known alias name of the protein mitochondrially encoded cytochrome b, encoded by the MT-CYB gene in humans. This 380-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the ubiquinol-cytochrome c reductase complex (complex III or cytochrome b-c1 complex) that is part of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term cytochrome b is another synonym for MTCYB. Indicated applications for MTCYB antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
