MAC1 is a reported alias of the human protein 'integrin subunit alpha M', encoded by the gene ITGAM. Anti-MAC1 antibodies are available from several suppliers. Other names for this gene include CD11b, IGAM, and integrin alpha M. The full protein is reported to be 1152 amino acid residues in length. Based on antigen name, there may be canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat variants of this protein. The MAC1 antigen is a documented microglia marker.
