Anti-PDHa antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PDHa is a known alias name of the protein pyruvate dehydrogenase E1 subunit alpha 1, encoded by the PDHA1 gene in humans. This 390-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell and features acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for PDHa include E1alpha and PDHAD. Western Blot is the most common application for the PDHa antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
