Anti-PCD antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PCD is a known alias name of the protein pterin-4 alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 1, encoded by the PCBD1 gene in humans. This 104-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in tetrahydrobiopterin biosynthesis (By similarity). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland.
