Anti-MRK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MRK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CILK1 gene, which encodes ciliogenesis associated kinase 1. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of MRK has a canonical amino acid length of 632 residues and a protein mass of 71.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and cervix. MRK is a member of the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family.
