Anti-UGD antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the UGD antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UGDH gene, which encodes UDP-glucose 6-dehydrogenase. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and neuronal development, among other biological roles. The human version of UGD has a canonical amino acid length of 494 residues and a protein mass of 55 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. UGD is a member of the UDP-glucose/GDP-mannose dehydrogenase protein family. Indicated applications for UGD antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
