Anti-KAI1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target KAI1 is a known alias name of the protein CD82 molecule, encoded by the CD82 gene in humans. This 267-amino acid residue protein is reported to associate with CD4 or CD8 and delivers costimulatory signals for the TCR/CD3 pathway. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to have lymphoid specific expression. Other synonyms for KAI1 include 4F9, 4F9, and C33. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for KAI1 antibodies.
