Anti-KRTAP2-1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein keratin associated protein 2-1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 128 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.5 kDa. It is notably expressed in the hair. It is a member of the KRTAP type 2 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include keratin associated protein KRTAP2.1A, keratin-associated protein 2.1, and high sulfur keratin-associated protein 2.1. KRTAP2-1 gene orthologs have been reported in the bovine and chimpanzee species. Indicated applications for KRTAP2-1 antibodies listed below include Western Blot.
