Anti-MOB1A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MOB kinase activator 1A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 216 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.1 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the MOB1/phocein protein family, MOB1A is known to be involved with protein phosphorylation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MABKL1B, MATS1, MOB1, MOBK1B, MOBKL1B, Mob4B, MOB1 Mps One Binder homolog A, and C2orf6. MOB1A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
