Anti-TRP3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TRP3 is a known alias name of the protein transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily C member 3, encoded by the TRPC3 gene in humans. This 921-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the transport of ions, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and at much lower levels in ovary, colon, small intestine, lung, prostate, placenta and testis.
