Anti-TREM5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TREM5 is a known alias name of the protein CD300 molecule like family member b, encoded by the CD300LB gene in humans. This 201-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a activating immune receptor through its interaction with ITAM-bearing adapter TYROBP, and also independently by recruitment of GRB2. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be preferentially expressed in myeloid lineages.
