Anti-OGC antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the OGC antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC25A11 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 25 member 11. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of OGC has a canonical amino acid length of 314 residues and a protein mass of 34.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include PGL6 and SLC20A4. Indicated applications for OGC antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
