Anti-NOC4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NOC4 is a known alias name of the protein ER membrane protein complex subunit 8, encoded by the EMC8 gene in humans. This 210-amino acid residue protein is known to be a part of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein complex (EMC) that enables the energy-independent insertion into endoplasmic reticulum membranes of newly synthesized membrane proteins. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the liver, pancreas, heart, lung, kidney, brain, skeletal muscle, and placenta.
