Anti-LPP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LPP1 is a known alias name of the protein phospholipid phosphatase 1, encoded by the PLPP1 gene in humans. This 284-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with highest expression found in prostate.
