Anti-Kindlin-2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Kindlin-2 antigen is another term for the human protein FERM domain containing kindlin 2, encoded by the FERMT2 gene. The protein is reported to be a scaffolding protein that enhances integrin activation mediated by TLN1 and/or TLN2, but activates integrins only weakly by itself. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 680 residues and a mass of 77.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The Kindlin-2 protein is a member of the Kindlin protein family. Other alias names for Kindlin-2 include KIND2, MIG2, and PLEKHC1.
