Anti-GPR99 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GPR99 is a known alias name of the protein oxoglutarate receptor 1, encoded by the OXGR1 gene in humans. This 337-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for alpha-ketoglutarate. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the kidney and, to a lower extent, in the placenta. Other synonyms for GPR99 include CAON2 and GPR80.
