Anti-GIII-SPLA2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GIII-SPLA2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLA2G3 gene, which encodes phospholipase A2 group III. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly, among other biological roles. The human version of GIII-SPLA2 has a canonical amino acid length of 509 residues and a protein mass of 57.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, cytoplasm, and is secreted of cells. This target antigen may also be known as GIII-SPLA2.
