Anti-PPARG2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PPARG2 is a known alias name of the protein peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma, encoded by the PPARG gene in humans. This 505-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a nuclear receptor that binds peroxisome proliferators such as hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in adipose tissue. Other synonyms for PPARG2 include CIMT1, GLM1, and NR1C3. Western Blot is a widely used application for the PPARG2 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
