Anti-fd antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target fd is a known alias name of the protein elongator acetyltransferase complex subunit 1, encoded by the ELP1 gene in humans. This 1332-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the elongator complex which is required for multiple tRNA modifications, including mcm5U (5-methoxycarbonylmethyl uridine), mcm5s2U (5-methoxycarbonylmethyl-2-thiouridine), and ncm5U (5-carbamoylmethyl uridine). It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for fd include DYS and DYS.
