Anti-EPIL antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EPIL is a known alias name of the protein insulin like 4, encoded by the INSL4 gene in humans. This 139-amino acid residue protein is believed to play an important role in trophoblast development and in the regulation of bone formation. The protein is secreted and features post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the placenta, uterus and in fetal perichondrium. The term PLACENTIN is another synonym for EPIL. Indicated applications for EPIL antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
