Anti-CIS1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CIS1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SOCS1 gene, which encodes suppressor of cytokine signaling 1. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways and fat cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of CIS1 has a canonical amino acid length of 211 residues and a protein mass of 23.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasmic vesicles of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AISIMD and CISH1.
