Anti-UPK3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target UPK3 is a known alias name of the protein uroplakin 3A, encoded by the UPK3A gene in humans. This 287-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM); a highly specialized biomembrane elaborated by terminally differentiated urothelial cells. It is localized to the ER of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in ureter. Other synonyms for UPK3 include UP3A, UP3A, and UPIII. Indicated applications for UPK3 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
