Anti-ORP6 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ORP6 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the OSBPL6 gene, which encodes oxysterol binding protein like 6. This protein is reported to regulate cellular transport and efflux of cholesterol. The human version of ORP6 has a canonical amino acid length of 934 residues and a protein mass of 106.3 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the skeletal muscle. Other names for this target antigen include oxysterol-binding protein-related protein 6 and ORP-6. Indicated applications for ORP6 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
