Anti-MKP7 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MKP7 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DUSP16 gene, which encodes dual specificity phosphatase 16. This protein is known to function in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of MKP7 has a canonical amino acid length of 665 residues and a protein mass of 73.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
