Bpntase, or 3'(2'), 5'-bisphosphate nucleotidase 1, is a human gene encoded by BPNT1. It may also be known as: 3'(2'),5'-bisphosphate nucleotidase 1; Bisphosphate 3'-nucleotidase 1; PAP-inositol 1,4-phosphatase; PIP; HEL20. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 308 and a mass of 33.4 kDa. Other isoforms may exist. Bpntase is a member of the Inositol monophosphatase family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Zebrafish, Frog, Chicken.
