Anti-CCP4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CCP4 is a known alias name of the protein AGBL carboxypeptidase 1, encoded by the AGBL1 gene in humans. This 1112-amino acid residue protein is a reported metallocarboxypeptidase that mediates deglutamylation of tubulin and non-tubulin target proteins. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell.
