Anti-5-HT3A antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The 5-HT3A antigen is another term for the human protein 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 3A, encoded by the HTR3A gene. The protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission and signal transduction pathways, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 478 residues and a mass of 55.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in cerebral cortex, amygdala, hippocampus, and testis. The 5-HT3A protein is a member of the Ligand-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.9) protein family. Other alias names for 5-HT3A include 5-HT-3, 5-HT-3, and 5-HT3A. Indicated applications for 5-HT3A antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
