Anti-3OST2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the 3OST2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HS3ST2 gene, which encodes heparan sulfate-glucosamine 3-sulfotransferase 2. This protein is a reported sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) to catalyze the transfer of a sulfo group to an N-unsubstituted glucosamine linked to a 2-O-sulfo iduronic acid unit on heparan sulfate. The human version of 3OST2 has a canonical amino acid length of 367 residues and a protein mass of 41.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. Other names for this target antigen include 30ST2 and heparan sulfate glucosamine 3-O-sulfotransferase 2.
