Anti-Caprin-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Caprin-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CAPRIN1 gene, which encodes cell cycle associated protein 1. This protein is known to function in cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of Caprin-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 709 residues and a protein mass of 78.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Caprin-1 is a member of the Caprin protein family.
