Anti-Polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GALNT2 in humans. The gene may also be known as GalNAc-T2 and UDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2 (GalNAc-T2). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 64.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
