Anti-TBC1D8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TBC1 domain family member 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1140 amino acid residues and a mass of 130.8 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. TBC1D8 is believed to act as a GTPase-activating protein for Rab family protein(s). Synonyms for this target antigen include GRAMD8, HBLP1, TBC1D8A, VRP, BUB2-like protein 1, and AD3. TBC1D8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TBC1D8 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
