Anti-BAF200 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target BAF200 is a known alias name of the protein AT-rich interaction domain 2, encoded by the ARID2 gene in humans. This 1835-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart.
