Anti-PIA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PIA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RICTOR gene, which encodes RPTOR independent companion of MTOR complex 2. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of PIA has a canonical amino acid length of 1708 residues and a protein mass of 192.2 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. PIA is a member of the RICTOR protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the PIA antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
