Anti-EIF1AY antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1A Y-linked. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 144 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.4 kDa. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the EIF-1A protein family, EIF1AY is suspected to be required for maximal rate of protein biosynthesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1A, Y-chromosomal, eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1A, Y chromosome, eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4C, and eIF-4C. Some EIF1AY antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
