Anti-MAU-2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MAU-2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MAU2 gene, which encodes MAU2 sister chromatid cohesion factor. This protein is known to function in cell division, among other biological roles. The human version of MAU-2 has a canonical amino acid length of 613 residues and a protein mass of 69.1 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. MAU-2 is a member of the SCC4/mau-2 protein family.
