Anti-PACS-2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PACS-2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PACS2 gene, which encodes phosphofurin acidic cluster sorting protein 2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and protein localization to the plasma membrane, among other biological roles. The human version of PACS-2 has a canonical amino acid length of 889 residues and a protein mass of 97.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria and ER of cells. PACS-2 is a member of the PACS protein family.
