Anti-PDS5B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PDS5 cohesin associated factor B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1447 amino acid residues and a mass of 164.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the PDS5 protein family, PDS5B is a reported regulator of sister chromatid cohesion in mitosis which may stabilize cohesin complex association with chromatin. Synonyms for this target antigen include AS3, CG008, sister chromatid cohesion protein PDS5 homolog B, androgen induced inhibitor of proliferation, and APRIN. PDS5B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PDS5B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
