Anti-BM28 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BM28 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MCM2 gene, which encodes minichromosome maintenance complex component 2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and DNA replication, among other biological roles. The human version of BM28 has a canonical amino acid length of 904 residues and a protein mass of 101.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and chromosomes of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and bone marrow. This target antigen may also be known as CCNL1. Western Blot is the most common application for the BM28 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
