Anti-HSBP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein heat shock factor binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 76 amino acid residues and a mass of 8.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the HSBP1 protein family, HSBP1 is a reported regulator of the heat shock response. Synonyms for this target antigen include NPC-A-13 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma-associated antigen 13. HSBP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the HSBP1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
