Anti-FRAG1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FRAG1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PGAP2 gene, which encodes post-GPI attachment to proteins 2. This protein is reported to be involved in lipid remodeling steps of GPI-anchor maturation. The human version of FRAG1 has a canonical amino acid length of 254 residues and a protein mass of 29.4 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER and Golgi of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. FRAG1 is a member of the PGAP2 protein family.
